From September 19th to 21st, URBANLeap partners met in Sofia, Bulgaria for the second transnational project meeting, hosted by Street Workout Bulgaria and held in parallel with the Balkan Open Parkour Competition.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved so far, to clarify upcoming tasks, and to coordinate the next steps for the project’s implementation. Partners reviewed each work package, discussed local planning of multiplier events, and outlined the timeline for the next international meeting.
As part of the agenda, the group also revisited the structure and content of the Parkour Training Methodologies Research Paper, agreeing that improvements are needed to better reflect field practices and diverse perspectives. It was agreed that partners would contribute further expert input and community-based insights, and that a formal request for deadline extension would be submitted to allow time for revisions.
The weekend also offered a great chance to attend the Balkan Open, observe competitive parkour in action, and connect with local athletes and organisations. As part of the project’s visibility efforts, the team also shared the newly designed URBANLeap T-shirts, strengthening the visual identity of the initiative.
The meeting concluded with renewed energy and commitment from all partners, looking ahead to more impactful activities across Southeast Europe in the coming months.
