We are proud to announce that the research phase of the Erasmus+ Sport project URBANLeap has been successfully completed!

Led by the Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) and with help of all the partners, the research focused on exploring current parkour training methodologies, learning processes, and safety practices across Europe.

Throughout this stage, our consortium collected and analysed existing literature, interviewed parkour experts and practitioners, and examined the most effective teaching strategies currently used in parkour education.

The result is a comprehensive overview of parkour learning methods, combining academic knowledge and community experience — a key milestone that sets the foundation for the next phase of the project.

This work will directly contribute to the creation of the Parkour Trainer Handbook, a practical and scientifically grounded guide designed to standardize training practices, promote safety, and make parkour more accessible to everyone.

We are proud of the dedication of all partners and researchers who contributed to this important step. UrbanLeap continues to move forward — combining sport, science, and creativity to build a stronger and more inclusive parkour community across Europe.
